Orthoceras CollectA 88903
OverviewCollectA 88903 - Orthoceras
approx. 8.1 x 15 cm
This nautiloid cephalopod had a tapered, cylindrical, conical shell with closely spaced chambers, containing a hollow and a convex septum (septum), with a connecting tube, the sipho, in the center. The length of the shell was about 15 cm. The ortocheas was a mollusk, so the only thing that has fossilized is 'the vertebra' of the squid.
